This low pixel video artwork is based on the CT SCAN picture of my mom's uterus which was taken earlier months ago when she did the full body examination.

About eight years ago, she had to have an operation that doctors put a IUD inside her uterus, which caused hers huge and constant pain.

The Earth, Ocean and Tide you can see are all created through multiple times of overlaying and distorting that image, Here, the ocean waves become the amniotic fluid in the mother's womb...

Do you know that as the average length of women's menstrual cycles matches the moon's 29.5-day waxing and waning cycle, many cultures associated the moon with fertility-how amazing is that!

However, somehow the uterus remains being seen as a resource in this patriarchal society, people ignore the pain of giving birth, the pain of the period (even consider the period blood as something dirty and evil) and the pain of having a IUD (intrauterine device) in women's uterus(like my mom).

I wanna worship the power of women's uterus, wanna showcase how wonderful and amazing women are, and also wanna fight back to those who ignore the pain that women are facing, no uterus no opinion.
